Prickly Bolter

My goal was to design a stylized character unit for an anthropomorphic RTS game that appeared timid yet opportunistic in the battlefield. This character is loosely based on the North American Porcupine, operating as a ranged unit. In addition to peppering enemies from afar, it uses its quills as a defense mechanism via a skill called the "quill bomb", which would snare any enemy caught within its radial blast.

The character sheet showcases the orthographic design for important elements of the Prickly Poker, including it's weapon of choice - the crossbow, alongside the quiver, bolt, and hood. Different armor tiers are showcased at the top right of the page which signify the visual changes as its armor and weapons are upgraded.
